Title | Simulation and optimization of single- and multi-frequency induction hardening |
Host institution | Weierstrass Institute of Applied Analysis and Stochastics, Berlin, Germany |
Brief description | The aim of the project is the simulation and optimization of single- and multifrequency induction hardening for helical and bevel gears. The main focus lies on the simulation, the computation of optimal process parameters for the induction heating process and the optimization of the inductor and/or the position of shielding plates to generate a contour hardening for complex shaped workpieces. |
